MP JV football falls to Ft. Madison

The Mt. Pleasant JV football team dropped a 48-13 decision against Ft. Madison on Monday.

Noah Brown scored both Panther touchdowns, rushing two yards to the goal line both times.

Korte Maddy made good on his PAT attempt after the second score.

On the night, Joseph Hess was 5-of-8 passing for 44 yards in the air.

Clayle Franklin had two receptions for 35 total yards, while Alex Carrasco and Cale Christner caught a 7-yard pass and a 4-yard pass, respectively.

Brown finished with 70 yards rushing in nine attempts, while Colten Mertens picked up 20 yards in nine tries. Maddy had four rushes for 19 yards.

Defensively, Brown finished with a team-high 18 tackles and Christner added nine. Keegan Pullis had seven tackles and Kallin Crile had five.

Next up for the Panthers is a game at Centerville on Monday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
