The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent burglary at Butch’s River Rock Café in Oakland Mills.

Sheriff’s office officials said they were notified at approximately 8 a.m., Wednesday of an early morning burglary to the café. A small amount of cash was reported stolen.

Henry County Chief Deputy Tracy Brooks would not say whether there was forced entry into the café. “The incident remains under investigation, and I would rather not discuss that,” Brooks said.

Asked whether the cash was taken from the cash register, Brooks said cash was “taken from within the building.”

He said there did not appear to be any damage to the business other than the missing cash.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
