Palliative care topic of June 29 program for women

Palliative care for people with serious illnesses is the topic of Great River Health Systems’ next Red Hot Mamas program. It is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, in the Blackhawk Room on the lower level of Great River Wellness Plaza, 1401 W. Agency Road, West Burlington.

The speakers will be Jane Schuler, ARNP, nurse practitioner for Great River Palliative Care, and other members of the palliative care team. Participants will learn how people can benefit from palliative care, and the presenters will discuss what gives life meaning, how to improve quality of life and how to document wishes.
