It was all Mt. Pleasant on Monday night as the Panther junior varsity football team ransacked Ft. Madison 52-6 to kick off homecoming week.

The Panthers forced a fumble on the Bloodhounds’ opening series, scored on their first offensive play and it was all Mt. Pleasant after that.

The offense was firing on all cylanders, but it was the passing game that did the most harm. Brody Bender 5-7 for 182 yards and three scores. Jack Johnson went 3-4 for 53 yards and a score, and added 20 yards rushing.

The leading receiver on the night was Rylan Seberg, who caught two passes and scored on both, tallying 101 yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Stukerjurgen caught two passes for 81 yards and a touchdown, and Chase Williamson caught a 19-yard touchdown pass.

Logan Bass had a big day running the ball. He took seven carries for 60 yards and a score. Avery Scandridge rushed the ball seven times as well, and went for 39 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Mt. Pleasant’s defense gave up just 82 yards to the Hounds. Ft. Madison scored their only touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Jayden Davis had nine tackles in the win. Hoang Mai finished with 4.5 tackles. Jacob Stukerjurgen had four tackles. Tate Shull had 3.5 tackles and an interception, and Gabe Brooks had a fumble recovery.
