Brian Dufour walked out of his house at 105 E. Henry St. on Thursday, Sept. 7, to find smoke billowing out of the windows of his vehicle.

Dufour had just loaded recyclables into the back of the vehicle and had run inside for a moment when something in the back caught on fire.

Passer-by Kameron Fracaro was riding his bike when he noticed smoke pouring out of the sunroof and windows of the vehicle and called the fire department.

Dufour was able to move his motorcycle away from the vehicle and retrieve his toolbox from the front seat by the time the fire department showed up. Pizza boxes and various other cardboard along with newspapers and empty water bottles were spilled from the back of the vehicle and the fire was put out.

Police officer Ryan Pilling said he arrived and the back of the vehicle was on fire and the contents of the vehicle were on fire in the middle of the street.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire was undetermined.
