Remember mom, cope with grief

WEST BURLINGTON — Great River Hospice is offering a free program for women whose mothers have passed away.

“Hats My Mother Wore” is scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Great River Hospice House, 1306 S. Washington Road, West Burlington. A light breakfast will be served.

“Hats My Mother Wore” will be a time for honoring and remembering mothers. Great River Hospice social worker Barbara Miller, B.S.W., will discuss the feelings associated with the loss of a mother and strategies for coping with grief. The group will reminisce on the varied roles mothers play in their children’s lives during a creative and thought-provoking presentation.
