Richard Lee White

Richard Lee White 78, walked over into Heaven's gates peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on July 4th, 2017.

Richard was born on June 12, 1939 in West Liberty, Iowa to Don Rudolph White and Nellie Ronelva (Linville) White. Nellie Later married David Saul Allison. He married the love of his life Loretta Farrow on May 24, 1968 in Fredonia, Ia.They have been married for 49 years. Richard was a pastor of Deliverance Chapel in Muscatine for 3 years, Traveled and preached the gospel all over the United States and held meetings in Mexico for over 30 years. He ministered at Dove Fellowship Church in Olds for 19 years. He also traveled to New Guinea, West Africa to minister.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many all over the world. He enjoyed making people laugh, telling jokes, woodcarving, painting, traveling, roller skating, Pizza Ranch and watching Cops and westerns, but his biggest passion was telling others about Jesus and leading them to Christ.

Richard is survived by his wife, Loretta; son Danny (Sandy) Rohr of Mason City, Ia; daughter Stephanie (Robert) Newton of Winfield; sisters, Judy White of Marshalltown, Ia; Phyllis (John) Ramsey of Keota, Ia; Ida (Ford) Hindbaugh Montesano, WA; Lena Schrader Columbus Jct, Ia; brothers; Bob White Hot Springs, AR; Stan (Liz)Allison Wapello, Ia; Gene (Mary) Allison Kennewick, Wa. He has seven grandsons; Zachary (Bhre) Rohr Cedar Rapids, Ia; Zeke (Mercedes) Rohr Cedar Rapids, IA; Zeb Rohr; Austin (Kelsey) Newton Wapello, Ia; Treyben, Talon and Avinn Newton of Winfield, IA. He has three Great Granddaughters Sophia Rohr, Adelaide and Penelope Newton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Tona Penderson; brothers Jim White, Reuben White, Bill White, Elbert (Ace) White, Kenny White, and Dave Allison.

A dinner will be held at the Open Bible Church in Mt. Pleasant, IA at 11:00am Friday July 7th with service following at 1:00pm.

Interment will be at the North Prairie Cemetery in West Liberty, Ia following the service.

A general memorial has been established in his name. Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is in charge of the arrangements.
