Ricky Ray "Rick" Lillie, 46,of Iowa City and formerly

Burlington, died Wednesday,June 28, 2017 in Iowa City.

The funeral service was on Sunday, July 2, at Elliott Chapel in New London with Pastor David Mixon officiating. According to his wishes, cremation was accorded following the service and inurnment will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established for Hope Haven.

Lillie was born on August 31, 1970 in Burlington, the son of Hubert C. Lillie and Peggy L. Culler Lillie. He was a graduate of Burlington High School and was of the Christian faith.

Years ago, Lillie worked at Hope Haven in Burlington; then for C. Yellow Cab in Burlington and until the time of his death, at Yellow Cab in Iowa City.

He enjoyed playing Pogo with online friends; spending time with family and friends; loved his dog Rocky; and never met a stranger.

Lillie is survived by his mother, Peggy Armstrong, New London; his father of Burlington; brother, Junior Kilbride of Iowa City; one niece, one nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
