SEISC names all-conference volleyball team

The first all-conference fall sports teams are officially out with the announcement for the All-SEISC volleyball teams.

Henry County’s three teams combined for 14 names on the All-SEISC teams. New London and Winfield-Mt. Union had six honorees and WACO had two.

The county had four names on the All-SEISC first teams. New London had a trio of first-teamers, which were all seniors. Breanna Mettler was named as a first-team hitter. Savannah Sutherland was one of two first-team setters in the south division and Carson McSorley occupied the libero spot. Senior hitter Ashley Birdsell was the team’s lone second-teamer.

W-MU was represented by senior hitter Lexee Hartsock on the North Division first team. Senior Lauren Jamison was named a second-team setter. The Wolves had two freshmen named to the North Division second team. Jenna Buffington made it as a hitter and Kyndal Townsley was named the team’s Libero.

Each team in the conference had two players named as honorable mentions. W-MU’s honorable mentions were senior Pearl Krieger-Coble and junior Liana Sweezer. New London was represented by senior Camryn Blint and Junior Kaylor Schulte, and WACO’s representatives were senior Kiana Miller and freshman Aubri Garnsey.
