Sharron Kae C. Niggemeyer, 69, Primrose, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital in Ft. Madison.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, where the family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, with Fathers Dennis Hoffman and David Wilkening as celebrants. Burial will be at the Primrose Cemetery, rural Primrose.

Memorials may be made in her memory to the Diabetes Foundation.

Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born Aug. 7, 1943, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Harold and Lorene (Lang) Benolken. On June 16, 1962 she married Clarence Niggemeyer, Jr. in Farmington. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington. She had worked for Scheaffer Pen Co. in Ft. Madison and was a foster parent. She enjoyed traveling and being with her family.

Survivors include four sons, Scott (Rebecca) Niggemeyer of Ft. Madison, Chris (Sue) Niggemeyer of Donnellson, Terry (Julie) Niggemeyer of Keokuk, Dustin Niggemeyer of Ft. Madison; one daughter, Candice (Preston) Meyer of Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister in infancy.
