Single-vehicle accident on Hwy 34 early Wednesday

It took emergency response personnel nearly 10 minutes to extract an individual from their vehicle following a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday.

According to police reports, Cragon Caboth, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling east on Highway 34 Wednesday, June 20 at 8:43 a.m. when his vehicle struck the median divider and careened into the south ditch. The Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and emergency responders from Henry County Health Center took about 10 minutes extracting Caboth from his 2015 Chevrolet Impala. Caboth was taken to HCHC for treatment.

It is unclear why Caboth hit the median. His vehicle is considered totaled.

The Henry County Sheriff’s office was also at the scene.
