T.T.T. Chapter L meeting

The regular meeting of Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society was held Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Olds United Church of Christ. President Sharon Beattie called the meeting to order and opened the meeting with the group singing the Sword of Gold.

Sixteen members roll call with their middle name. Leah Woline gave meditations with a reading from Ideals. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. There was no correspondence. The treasurer’s report was given by Missy Fear and will be filed for audit.

Committee Reports:

Ways and Means- Leah related that shirts cannot be ordered individually, but another order of 10 or more can be done. Tips were reported on from working at Mt. Pleasant and Washington Pizza Ranches.

Camp Girls- Pat Miller read a thank you from a previous camper for a graduation gift card. Three girls, Makenzie Mullin, Jenna Jensen and Alessandra Vargis were present and told the group about their camp experience and the fun things they did and learned at camp.

Program for the next meeting- Ruth Erwin and Mary Benson will be hostesses for the July meeting which will be held at the Olds United Church of Christ.

New Business- Bills were presented and a motion was made and seconded to pay them. Motion carried.

Bylaws Update- Mary Benson has these on her computer and will get copies so the group can see what changes need to be made.

President Beattie reminded everyone of the National T.T.T. Convention in Arizona to be held Oct. 26-28. Registration must be made by Sept. 23 if anyone is interested in going and they should let her know.

President Beattie thanked Leah and Tammy Erwin for refreshments. As there was no further business the meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed followed by the Founders Day Ceremony.

The next meeting will be Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Olds United Church of Christ.

The Dorcas group have now completed 22 school bags and will continue making them through July and August. One change this year for School Kits is that college as well as wide rule paper notebooks may be use and everyone should also remember to purchase only scissors labeled “BLUNT”. Also, the crayons must be a package of 24 only. If they say a bonus of two crayons they cannot be used.

Debbie Rowe and daughter, Amelia from Kauai, Hawaii and Kathy Hill and son, Camden from Odenton, Maryland were luncheon guests on Wednesday of their grandmother and great-grandmother, Frieda Finke.
