Two men charged with trafficking stolen weapons

Aug 08, 2017

Two men have been arrested following the investigation of multiple items, including weapons, from the 1600 grid of Graham Avenue.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office began its investigation on July 23. During the investigation, one of the firearms was recovered. Jacob Peiffer, 19, of Fairfield, was arrested in the 1100 grid of 225th Street, rural Mt. Pleasant, and charged with trafficking stolen weapons, a Class D felony; fourth-degree theft, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class D felony.

Upon further investigation, the sheriff’s office, along with assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Tactical Unit and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant July 28 at 307 U.S. Highway 61 North, Apartment 2, in Wapello.

Further stolen property was recovered and Jasper Dominguez, 20, of Wapello, was arrested and charged with trafficking stolen weapons, a Class D felony; and second-degree theft, also a Class D felony.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
