May 23, 2017

Two vehicles sustained a combined $8,000 in damage following a collision May 20 at the intersection of South White Street and West Clay Street in Mt. Pleasant.

An investigation revealed that a 2002 Toyota, owned by Bobby Browning of Salem was stopped at the stop sign on West Clay Street at its intersection with South White Street.

A 2011 GMC, owned and operated by Shelby Hill of Washington was driving north on White Street, passing the intersection and had the right-of-way.

There were no injuries. Browning was cited with failure to yield from a stop sign.
