Vera N. Krouse Link, 91, Farmington, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Friends may call from noon until 5 p.m. Sunday at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 until 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington with Mark Boley officiating. Burial will be in the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.

A memorial has been established in her memory. Online condolences may be made to the family at The Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born Nov. 1, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Clyde and Willa Mae Cook Cole. On March 9, 1936, at Keosauqua she married Roy Joseph Krouse. He preceded her in death. On Sept. 8, 1978, in Farmington, she married James Link. He preceded her in death.

She first worked at the Bonaparte Glove Factory, then at Mitchell’s Nursing Home. She owned and operated a restaurant in Luray, Mo. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Ft. Madison and later for Mobile Nursing caring for people in their homes. She was a 55-year member of the Donnellson American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, dancing and cooking.

Survivors include one daughter, Ann Mercer of Cantril; four sons, Jim (Shirley) Krouse of Keosauqua, Donald (Rachel) Krouse of Agency, Junior Krouse of Luray, Mo., Joe (Susan) Krouse of Farmington; 57 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Cecil Cole of Bettonsport, Johnie Cole of Mt. Pleasant and Sandy Cole of Dallas City, Ill.; two sisters, Minnie Thomas of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Joan Lunsford of Lathrop, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son, Jack Lane Krouse; four grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.
