‘Walk through time’ with Louisa County Conservation

Join Louisa County Conservation and the Office of the State Archaeologist on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 7 p.m. to learn about the prehistory of Louisa County. Presented free of charge, this program will take place at the Columbus Junction Civic Center (ICN Room).

Cherie Haury-Artz is an archaeologist and educator with the Office of the State Archaeologist at the University of Iowa. She will take everyone on a virtual “walk through time,” looking at what is known about prehistoric life in Iowa with an emphasis on early agriculture and burial mounds in Louisa County and southeast Iowa. There will be time for questions and further discussion after the presentation.

The Columbus Junction Civic Center is located at 232 Second St., Columbus Junction, IA 52738. The ICN Room is located on the ground floor.
