Wayland Lions Easter egg hunt

The Wayland Lions Club annual Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at Wayland’s West Park. Members of the Lions Club will be on hand to direct the different age groups to their hunting spots. It is hoped the Easter Bunny will also make an appearance.

Leo Club Awareness Month

April is Leo Club Awareness Month. The Lions Clubs of Wayland, Olds and Crawfordsville spnosor the local WACO Leo Club. Sponsoring a Leo Club provides members with camaraderie and growth through participation in community service projects, social functions and leadership development activities.

Through Leo Clubs, Lions have a positive influence on today’s youth and young adults — helping them become better citizens and leaders for life.

Local Lions Clubs sponsoring a Leo Club can bring new energy to the Lions Clubs and can increase their club’s community exposure by attracting new audiences, such as young professionals and parents.

In addition, for Lions, the motto “We Serve” extends beyong their own communities. It also means brining the service of Lions ot surrounding communities in need. Extension involves building new Lions clubs with service projects geared towards meeting the needs of surrounding communities. Lions can help extension efforts by working to increase membership in their club or by sponsoring a new club.
