Woman injured in three-vehicle mishap

Oct 05, 2017

One injury was reported from a three-vehicle accident Oct. 4 in Mt. Pleasant.

According to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, a 2012 Toyota, operated by Robert Groszbach, was westbound on East Washington Street and did not stop at the flashing stop signs at the intersection with Grand Avenue.

The Groszbach vehicle struck a 2014 Honda, operated by Donna Hoaglin, who had entered the intersection. The impact caused the Hoaglin vehicle to spin into a 2005 Toyota, operated by Korbin Taylor, who was stopped at the stop sign.

Hoaglin was transported by ambulance to the Henry County Health Center; no other injuries were reported.

Total amount of damage to the three vehicles was estimated at $8,000. Groszbach was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

Mt. Pleasant police were assisted at the scene by the Iowa State Patrol, the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and Henry County Health Center Ambulance crews.
