This week’s ‘Friend on the Front Page’ is Ryan Duffie, who you may know from the REC Center.

Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant? If not, what brought you here? No, my wife and work brought me here. My wife is from Wayland.

What’s your favorite part of living here? The small town feel of the community and gathering together.

Where’s your favorite hangout? The REC Center.

What do you like to do in your free time? Coaching my kids and playing golf.

Is there an annual event in Mt. Pleasant that you enjoy? Events put on by Main Street Mt. Pleasant.

Is there something Mt. Pleasant doesn’t have that you’d like to see? A nice, upscale restaurant.

What is a local treasure in Mt. Pleasant that you wish more people knew about? East Lake Park.

What do you think is Mt. Pleasant’s trademark? Old Threshers.

Tell us something interesting about yourself? I have two young boys and another baby on the way.
