Every week, the Mt. Pleasant News will feature a Henry County resident in a profile snapshot. The questions will appear in bold.

This week’s ‘Friend on the Front Page’ is Robin Detrick, whom you may know from the Henry County Auditor’s Office.

Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant/Henry County? If not, what brought you here? Yes, I’m originally from Mt. Pleasant.

What is your favorite part of living here? Mt. Pleasant is some what a small town. I love meeting new people and interacting with the public. I love talking with familiar faces. It’s important to know people.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my spare time, if I have any, I love spending time with friends and family. I love spending time on the Skunk River.

Is there an annual event in Mt. Pleasant/Henry County that you enjoy? I am part of the Old Settlers Committee. I enjoy trying to make a difference for Henry County in raising money for programs in need.

What is a local treasure in Mt. Pleasant/Henry County you wish more people knew about? Seeing the greatness in others.

What do you think is Mt. Pleasant/Henry County’s trademark? Old Threshers here is a big part of this town.

Tell us something interesting about you? My husband and I have just opened a new business north of Mt. Pleasant. It opened on Dec. 1, 2016 and is called Detrick’s Truck & Tire Service.
